I am very excited to share my DT Project with you as it has a spooky Halloween Vibe to it!  I think you're going to love the orange sky!

I used distress oxide inks in Vintage Photo, Crackling Campfire, Carved Pumpkin and Black Soot to set the Halloween sky for the amazing Grog!  All of the stamping was done in Verfasine Clair Nocturne ink using a Misti stamping tool and then clear embossed.  Grog is standing guard on top of the Fairy Hugs Logs, as is the Fairy Hugs Oliver.  To add a little more detail, I used a white gel pen to highlight Grog!

Today I wanted to share my latest Fairy Hugs creation...

I love this simple Toadstool image. It is so versatile and can be used alone or paired with any number of the other lovely Fairy Hugs stamps. Today I have a trio of toadstools with an extra little tip to make your mushrooms grow a bit.

Directions:

1. Stamp the middle mushroom on a piece of white cardstock.

2. Without reinking, stamp the image onto a piece of scrap paper and trim. This will become your mask for stamping the rest of the card.

3. Cover the stamped toadstool with the mask, ink the stem part of the image and stamp it below the stem on the first stamped image. You just "grew" your mushroom!

4. Leaving the mask in place, stamp a second and third mushroom on either side of the tall mushroom.

5. Color the mushrooms as desired.

6. Stamp foliage and flowers around the mushrooms.

7. Use watercolor to create the ground and give more color to the images/foliage.

8. Die-cut the image; diecut the frame using Mocha/Mocha Starstruck Rinea foiled paper.

9. Cut and mount the Fairy Wings Backgrounds paper on a brown card base.

10. Cut a strip of Moss & Stone Background paper and adhere it to the center of the card.

11. Mount the mushroom image and frame on the card.

12. Add a twine bow.

Have a lovely day friends!!

Fairy Hugs - Tarwep (gnome)

Fairy Hugs Store  has their own line of stamps, paper, glitter and ink!

Today i would love to share Fairy Hugs - Tarwep (gnome)

Super fun card.  I used some digital paper and added some ink blending, creating some dirt for Tarwep to stand on and a moon in the background.  I also distressed the edges so that the flowers from the die would have some color. Tarwep was stamped with VersaFine Clair - Nocturne and embossing with Nuvo Fine Clear Embossing Powder. Die used is called, Precious Marieke - Flowers in Pastels

I have used the following Fairy Hugs Products:

I'm so happy to share my DT project this week featuring Zelena as the focal point which can be found at the Fairy Hugs Store!
I think Zelena is beautiful and deserved to be showcased in her very own shadow box!  What do you think?  I love how her wings glow in the moonlight!

Without further ado...

My project started with a quick trip to dollar tree to see what kind of frame I could find. This one started out with Boss Babe written on it. I think Zelena is a much better choice! I stamped Zelena with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed her with clear powder. I repeated this process several more times with the Fairy Hugs- Fantasy Flowers. I colored her wings with Prisma Color colored pencils, starting with a white pencil first so that the other colors would "glow". The centers of the Fantasy Flowers were sparkled up with Plum glitter dust using a glue pen. This project was so easy and fast because of the great background paper, Starry Moonlight. I encourage you to check out the other Fairy Scape Papers as they make for stunning back drops.

I hope this inspires you to do something inky today!  You can find the Fairy Hugs Store HERE
