Today I wanted to share my latest Fairy Hugs creation...

I have another fun Fairy Hugs Scene for you. It's a concert in the meadow featuring the boys....Bilman, Corwain and Wilwin! Looks like everyone is having a fine time of it.

To create this card I cut a panel of white cardstock 8x10". I started off by stamping the Wishing Well off to one side then stamped the Leafty Branch and Swing off to the other side.

After those two images had been stamped I went in with torn paper, Sponge Daubers and a couple colors of green VersaFine Clair inks - Verdant and Shady Lane to create the various levels of the ground. I then used the Daubers to color the sky.

It was then time to add the Stone Walls on each side of the panel, add the Wild Leaves here and there and finally add the people.  I stamped the Dancing Mushrooms onto scrap paper using Acorn and Tulip Red VFC ink, fussy cut and assembled them. They were then placed here and there in the scene.

It still looked a bit bare so I added clouds to the sky and glitter to their wings and added flowers beneath the Wishing Well.

I hope you've enjoyed this trip to the meadow with the boys.

   Hello everyone and Happy Monday!!

Let's see what we can make using Fairy Hugs Store supplies!

I love this Fairy Hugs stamp called Melia!

For this card, i started with Fairy Hugs Background paper - Full Moon
Next i stamped Fairy Hugs - Fairy Swing and then i added Fairy Hugs - Melia.
Now i just stamped to fill in the areas using Fairy Hugs - Wild Leaves and Hanging Vines.
I colored in Melia's wings with Prismacolor pencils and added a glitter hologram paint on top.

Today I wanted to share my latest Fairy Hugs creation...

A Day By The Stream

This is my first attempt at a full blown scene. It's not a card but it's full of lots of fun stamping, watercolor and glitter. The finished project is approximately 9" x 11" - (the scene it's self is 8" x 10").

To create this card I started off by stamping the scene slightly off to one side of the panel. I then stamped the bridge over the narrow part of the stream. I decided where to place each of the fairies using the acetate sheet from the stamp and stamped those as well.

I then stamped the Wild Leaves along the bottom of the scene using 3 different shades of green layering them to give them depth.  I stamped the Fantasy Flowers using Nocturne ink over top of the Wild Leaves.  I also stamped the Leafy scrolls in the upper left hand corner to give the illusion of a tree in the foreground.

Now, the Stream stamp didn't extend to the edges of the panel so at this time I took a black sharpie marker and extended the existing lines either to the edge of the panel or to the foliage.

After all the ink had dried I used Prima Watercolor Confections watercolor paint to color the water, beach, grassy hills and sky. I also used a bit to fill in the area where the leaves and flowers were stamped.

I thought the sky needed a little something so I added some fluffy clouds. To remove the sky color from the clouds I dabbed a bit of water inside each cloud, let it set then dabbed it away using a paper towel. The color lifted right off and I was left with a creamy whip cream cloud! I used the Gelly Roll glitter pen to give each cloud a silver glittery lining.

Next I added glitter to the fairy wings and to the water area. The Leafy Canoe was stamped on scrap paper twice, once using Acorn and once using Green Oasis VFC ink. They were fussy cut, assembled then popped in the stream using foam tape.

Once the panel was completely dry I matted it with white and carnation cardstock.

As I mentioned before this was my first attempt at a large scene and I really enjoyed the entire process. It was so much fun I think I'm going to make a few more.

Today I wanted to share my latest Fairy Hugs creation...

Grog is going to take a little boat ride today in the Leafy Canoe.

To create this card I used the 5x7 Box Card Die Set from Stamps of Life as the base for this creation.  The base card was cut from white cardstock. I cut 3 inside panels creating 5 layers when you glue pieces to the front and back of the box.  I used Fairy Hugs Backgrounds - A Summer Night and Moss & Stone to decorate the outside of the box.

Next I stamped all of the various elements onto either white or colored cardstock and fussy cut each one. I then affixed the elements to each layer as follows:

Front of the box - Wild Leaves
Inside Layer 1 - Grog and more Wild Leaves
Inside Layer 2 - Canoe (paper was colored with blue ink)
Inside Layer 3 - Bridge (more blue ink)
Back of Box - Wild Leaves and Dancing Mushrooms

I finished assembling the box then added a few more leaves and mushrooms to the front panel.
